The Charleston Yacht Club is a member of the South Atlantic Yacht Racing Association and US Sailing Association and sponsors such events as US Sailing Association quarter and semifinal championship regattas and the
South Atlantic Yacht Racing Associations Inshore and Offshore Championships.
It has also hosted several national championships including the Mallory National Championship, Y-Flyer Nationals and Sunfish North Americans.
Charleston Yacht Club has also partnered with Community Sailing to run the Junior Sail Program. They have a reputation for running excellent summer sailing programs and we are excited to have them manage ours and get more youth involved in sailing. The Executive Director and the Board have been working hard to ensure that Charleston Community Sailing provides a fun and rewarding experience for all young sailors.
Many of our members have dual memberships with other community sailingand boating associations. The Cruising Club of Charleston and the Charleston Ocean Racing Association are dedicated to promoting the joy of cruising and sailing locally.
In addition, we extend reciprocal privileges to Yacht Club members that allow the same privileges as our members.
